What are the possible faults?<\/h2>\n

Most of our problems are as follows:<\/p>\n

  • Internal battery in telematics module faulty<\/li>\n
  • Faulty telematic module<\/li>\n
  • Faulty antenna<\/li>\n
  • Faulty ceiling light harness or connector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    How do I know whether it's a fault in the battery, the module, the aerial or another component connected to the multimedia system?<\/h2>\n

    By experience, if the fault appears sporadically, disappears, then returns more frequently or becomes permanent,
    \nIt's often a problem with the internal battery.<\/p>\n

    Explanation:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In the event of an accident, the vehicle's main power supply may be cut off, preventing an emergency call from being made.
    \nTo avoid this, the module is fitted with an internal battery. This enables the system to operate and make an emergency call.
    \neven without a main power supply. Like all batteries, it has a limited lifespan.<\/p>\n

    This problem often occurs in cold weather or after the vehicle has been out of use for a long time.
    \nHowever, it can also occur suddenly. A battery does not always fail immediately:
    \nits capacity diminishes over time.<\/p>\n

    The fault displayed on the instrument cluster may disappear temporarily after a few journeys,
    \nbecause the vehicle is recharging the internal battery. Nevertheless, the problem will return sooner or later

    How much does it cost to replace the internal battery?<\/h2>\n

    Depending on the generation of the telematics unit and the model, the price may vary slightly.
    \nThe battery itself costs around 100 francs. However, it is not always easy to access and
    \ninvolves a greater or lesser amount of dismantling work, depending on the model and equipment of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

    The telematics module is often placed under the boot compartment or under the roof lining.
    \nIt may therefore be necessary to remove the roof lining. The sunroof option can sometimes be beneficial,

        \npoor sealing can damage the module. In addition, roof antennae that have been dismantled during repairs or other work may be damaged.

        How much does it cost to replace the telematics module?<\/h2>\n

        As the module contains a SIM card and a unique identification number (IMEI), we do not offer an alternative solution.
